I love cake. We all know that, why else would I have a cake blog.
I have always wanted to try to make a Tres Leches cake but knew it would be impossible because I did not have something that every baker should have.
What was I lacking? I mean I have charisma, I have grace, I have elegance, I have beauty (okay some of those things you dont need for baking, but hey I've got um!).
I didnt have a Kitchen Aid.
Until now.
This Christmas Santa (aka my mommy) got me the BEST present EVER (well besides the straws that my sister got me for my birthday).
Here he is!!!!
Isn't he pretty! My friend Kateri named him for me and I love him. Might even marry him.
So knew I wanted his first baking experience to be something special. I asked Kateri (my go to for advice) for some ideas on what to bake and she has the audacity to say "cookies?". WHAT how pedestrian!
No. No. I know what! A Tres Leches cake that I have saved in my bookmarks. I shall make that! I took the recipe from the Pioneer Woman (whom I love as a blogger...but HATE as a tv personality...just saying).
It was fun and yummy and easy. Lets begin.
Then eat it!
Yep. Its good.
